The wide-ranging ecological survey and interpretation skills Robert acquired through his career as ecologist allowed him to set up an ecological consultancy in 2008. Since then, his business has steadily grown. His company currently does many research projects involving bat inventory surveys in the Netherlands. Even in a small country like the Netherlands, there is still a lot to be discovered about bats. His latest mist netting research project concerns the survey of a woodland area in the east part of the Netherlands where he suspects nursery colonies of the Greater mouse-eared bat Myotis myotis and the Bechstein’s bat Myotis bechsteinii. The last known nursery colony of the Greater mouse-eared bat in the Netherlands was back in 1960.

After many years in various information technology roles as a programmer and quality assurance manager, Jeff is excited to "assist Wildlife Acoustics customers to be successful and attain the best use of their equipment". In his free time, Jeff revels in the outdoors, especially walking, hiking and camping. A self-commissioned autobiography would be titled, "Well Worn Boots!". Jeff enjoys exercising his culinary talents to the delight of his friends and family. Driving with the top down and the radio up while traveling on a long road brings a smile to his face. His favorite sound is the quiet murmur of friends chatting around a crackling campfire.

Nicole has always had a passion for animals, which is what brought her to study Animal Biology at UC Davis. There, she was fascinated with a research project she worked on which investigated the calling behavior of Western Scrub Jays. Still, she felt her inner rock star was being neglected, and after graduating UC Davis, packed her bags and set off for Berklee College of Music. There she pursued her passion for playing drums and earned a degree in Music Production and Engineering. Little did she know she'd be applying both her disciplines at Wildlife Acoustics! Besides blogging about animals, she plays drums with bands in Boston and loves to lift heavy things!

Originally trained as an electrical engineer, Mona quickly decided hardware design was not her path. With over a decade of sales and marketing experience, Mona enjoys working for small but growing companies in which her skills can help create and influence their success. Working at Wildlife Acoustics, "Customers are our number one priority. I'm proud to say this isn't just a slogan; we practice this every day." Outside of work, Mona enjoys biking and listening to her iPod (The #1 most played song on her iPod is Jon Bon Jovi’s Blaze of Glory—“it’s truly poetry to music”). Her favorite sound is that of her daughter extending her arms and saying "Hug!"
