Recap of the Effect of Noise on Aquatic Life conference in Budapest!

You may know from our previous blog post that we were in Costa Rica this month for the International Bat Research Conference. What you may not know was that while we were unveiling the Echo Meter Touch in Costa Rica, our sales manager, Mona Doss, was all the way in Budapest, Hungary for the Effects of Noise on Aquatic Life conference!

The conference, which happens every three years, was extremely well organized. The venue was excellent and the staff were very helpful when we were setting up our exhibit! Some topics presented included studies on the effects of anthropogenic noise, underwater hearing in marine animals, behavioral responses to noise, and global trends in ocean noise. These are crucial matters to us and our and to the users of our SM2M+ marine recorders, which are increasingly being used as underwater noise loggers.

We were very impressed by the conference and we can't wait for the next one in 2016. Hope to see you there!
