STEM tips and resources for girls

One of the great things about how easy it is to use the Echo Meter Touch is that it allows kids to learn about bats, acoustics, and citizen science. In fact, we set up a list of links for students to get Echo Meter Touch for their classroom at our STEM resources page.

Following a request from one of our website visitors, we’ve just added a brand new resource specifically for girls who are interested in STEM. National Girls Collaborative Project is an organization that helps girls get involved in STEM via mini grants. Find new mini grant opportunities here.

Though women make up half the college educated population, fewer than 50% of those involved in the rapidly growing STEM fields are female. For tips on how you can get your female students or children into STEM, you can also check out this page that was recently brought to our attention, which provides tips and links on how to get girls involved in STEM!

And if you’re a girl who wants to do a project involving bioacoustics and conservation using our products, be sure apply to our own product grant program!
