Using a CAT5/6 Ethernet cable, a SMART Microphone can be located up to 100 meters from the SMART Controller. For longer distances, the CAT5/6 cable from the microphone can be connected to an Ethernet-to-fiber optic converter and a fiber optic cable can be run for lengths to up to two (2) kilometers. The signal would need to be converted back to Ethernet via a fiber optic-to-Ethernet converter before connecting to the controller.
